Da Nang is a beach resort. While there are various ways to enjoy a beach resort, such as shopping, hotel stays, and dining, it is difficult to separate the unique white sandy beaches and beautiful sea from the concept of a beach resort. I believe the allure of resort beaches lies in their white sand, depth, and waves. In Japan, my favorite beaches are Sakawa Beach in Odawara and Yumigahama in Minami-Izu. These beaches are roughly the same size. Sakawa Beach offers views of the Izu Peninsula and the powerful Kuroshio Current, making it a local beach rather than a resort due to its lack of white sand. On the other hand, Yumigahama has white sand and depth but lacks waves as it is in a cove.
Most beach resorts like those in Hawaii, Guam, and Cebu have white sandy beaches, depth, and waves. These conditions attract capital to these limited locations, forming resorts.
There are many hotels with views of My Khe Beach, but during my 4-night, 5-day trip to Da Nang, I stayed at the Sel de Mer Hotel & Suites only on the last night.
The hotel staff were very attentive, and it was rare for an overseas hotel to accompany guests to their rooms and explain the facilities. I was also surprised to find native Japanese-speaking staff.
At the pool, free towels are provided, so you can easily swim as long as you have your swimsuit. The restaurant also offers lunch, allowing for an elegant hotel stay. When tired, you can sit on the balcony chair and gaze at the sea.
