I am such a fan of Uogashi Sushi that I've visited about four of their locations, including their main branch. However, I was surprised to find a Uogashi Sushi inside the Marunouchi Building when I went to Tokyo Station recently. I also heard that they have a branch in Haneda Airport
Uogashi Sushi, which mainly operates in Shizuoka Prefecture. I first became aware of its existence thanks to the Oi-Matsuda branch in western Kanagawa. The Ashigara area where I live not only offers the specialties of Kanagawa but also incorporates some of Shizuoka's delicious offerings.

I was captivated by the charm of Uogashi Sushi in Oi-Matsuda, and whenever I go to Shizuoka, I almost always visit Uogashi Sushi. This is true for the locals as well, with 70-80% of the cars in the parking lots of all the branches I've visited having Shizuoka plates.
Uogashi Sushi Gotemba's Ara-jiru
"When I visited the Gotemba branch, I had the Special Mizore-don. It was adorned with uni, ikura, as well as hamachi and kinmedai. The ara-jiru was also rich with the umami of fish, leaving a pleasant lingering depth and richness.

The interior is quite casual with a family restaurant atmosphere, but you can enjoy truly authentic sushi, making every branch bustling with customers. As a shop supporting Shizuoka's fishing and tourism industries, I also give them my full support.
